Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an experienced Senior Rhapsody Interface Engineer / Server Administrator to own the Rhapsody integration platform, maintain platform reliability, and lead a skilled engineering team. You will design, implement, and support complex clinical integrations across Epic, Oracle Health, and third party systems, while mentoring others and ensuring security and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of healthcare interface engineering or integration development
• 5+ years with the Rhapsody Interface Engine in production
• 3+ years integration with major EMR/EHR platforms (Epic or Oracle Health)
• 3+ years administering Red Hat Linux and Windows servers with access management and performance tuning
• 3+ years healthcare integration standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM)
• 3+ years supporting 24x7 healthcare systems
• 1+ years mentoring or technical leadership in engineering teams
• Epic Bridges certification (current or prior)
• Rhapsody Professional Certification (preferred)
• Azure/CompTIA security/cloud certs (preferred)
• Experience hosting interface engines in cloud/hybrid environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support clinical and business interfaces integrating EMRs with third party systems
• Lead conversion and migration from legacy systems to modern integration platforms
• Mentor and lead engineering teams to promote best practices and consistency
• Ensure integration solutions meet security and regulatory requirements
• Own reliability, performance, and architecture of the Rhapsody environment
• Provide design oversight, code review, and technical guidance to interface engineers
• Maintain platform architecture diagrams, system design docs, and operational standards
