This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to high-profile residential projects from the comfort of their own home office. You will be responsible for leading design development, producing detailed construction documentation, and ensuring the highest standards of architectural quality for a variety of housing typologies. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for residential projects from concept to completion.
• Develop detailed architectural plans, elevations, sections, and specifications using BIM software.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Conduct design reviews and client presentations remotely, effectively communicating design intent.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables in coordination with project managers.
• Mentoring and guiding junior architects and designers in a virtual setting.
• Conduct virtual site inspections and coordinate with site personnel as needed.
• Research and specify appropriate materials and finishes, focusing on performance and aesthetics.
• Maintain clear and organized project documentation and communication channels.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
• A minimum of 7 years of post-graduate experience in residential architecture.
• Proven experience in leading residential design projects and managing client relationships.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.
• Strong understanding of South African building codes and construction practices.
• Excellent spatial reasoning, design sensibility, and technical detailing skills.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, adapted for remote interaction.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Experience with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, BIM 360).
• Professional registration with SACAP is required.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
