Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Architectural BIM Specialist to lead BIM modeling and documentation for global projects. You will develop and enforce BIM standards, run BIM execution plans, and coordinate models with structure and MEP disciplines in a fully remote setup.

The role requires strong Revit expertise, familiarity with Navisworks, and experience with cloud platforms like BIM 360 / ACC. You will support virtual teams and contribute to cutting-edge architectural workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• 5+ years as BIM Specialist with architectural BIM focus.
• Expert Revit and familiarity with Navisworks.
• Experience with cloud collaboration platforms (BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud).

You will be responsible for developing and managing Building Information Models (BIM), ensuring data integrity, and supporting project teams with BIM workflows and best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain complex architectural BIM models according to project requirements and BIM standards.
• Create and implement BIM execution plans and protocols for assigned projects.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate BIM models with other disciplines (structural, MEP, etc.) to resolve clashes and ensure integrated design.
• Generate architectural drawings, schedules, and reports directly from BIM models.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on BIM software and workflows.
• Assist in the development and management of BIM content libraries.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in BIM technology and advocate for best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a BIM Specialist or similar role, with a strong focus on architectural BIM.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and a strong understanding of other BIM software such as Navisworks.
• Experience with cloud-based collaboration platforms (e.g., BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• Excellent understanding of architectural design, construction documentation, and detailing.
• Proven ability to manage complex BIM models and workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
• Self-disciplined, organized, and capable of managing time effectively.
• Prior experience working with projects in or relevant to Eastern Cape development contexts is a plus.
