Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Senior Research Analyst level candidate to support epidemiologic and health policy research with advanced statistical methods. The role involves coordinating research, designing analytic approaches, and preparing manuscripts and presentations for diverse audiences.

You will mentor junior analysts, lead subprojects with minimal supervision, and collaborate with principal investigators and external researchers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, etc.)
• Demonstrated history of progressively more responsible statistical programming experience
• At least 4 years professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and knowledge in health care analytics
• Strong verbal and written communication with diverse audiences
• Demonstrated mentoring and supervisory capabilities
• Experience with Arbor Research projects or contracts is a plus
• Ability to lead subprojects with minimal intervention
• Contributions to health services research or epidemiology with publications or reports
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research development with lead investigators and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Contribute to design of analytical approaches for specific research questions.
• Adhere to coding and documentation standards including checks and reviews.
• Prepare papers and analyses for journals and funding sources.
• Prepare medical and statistical manuscripts and presentations for epidemiologic health policy research.
• Assist authors with tables and figures for manuscripts and reports.
• Present results clearly to biostatisticians and clinicians and represent Arbor Research.
• Attend committee meetings and national/international conferences.
• Contribute to writing/proposals for new projects.
• Develop SAS code for analyses and verify accuracy of coding.
• Mentor junior analysts to implement statistical analyses.
• Lead analytic approaches with principal investigators.
• Demonstrate ongoing skill development.
• Collaborate with external investigators.
