Job summary

High Point University is seeking a Senior Regional Admissions Counselor to join the Undergraduate Admissions team in a remote capacity. You will develop and execute a strategic recruitment plan within an assigned geographic territory and serve as the university’s primary ambassador to students, families, and school counselors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 3–5 years in college admissions or related field, strong CRM and MS Office skills, and willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in college admissions, recruitment, or a related field.
• Experience in sales, counseling, or customer engagement preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing competing priorities.
• Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in counseling, sales or customer service with an entrepreneurial spirit is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
• Night and weekend work is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven recruitment strategy for the assigned region.
• Establish and monitor goals related to inquiries, applications, campus visits, admits, and enrollments.
• Analyze territory performance and adjust strategies to meet enrollment objectives.
• Build meaningful relationships with prospective students and families through in-person and virtual interactions.
• Travel extensively within the assigned region to attend college fairs, high school visits, recruitment events, and more, with specific weeks indicated.
• Utilize CRM systems to manage communications, track engagement, and maintain accurate records.
