Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Senior Refrigeration Systems Engineer to design, optimize, and manage complex refrigeration and facility systems across distributed locations.

You will lead lifecycle management, drive reliability, and champion energy efficiency while coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, IT, and external vendors. The role requires strong expertise in ammonia/freon systems, HVAC, automation, and CMMS, with travel to multiple sites and a remote work setup within the mainland

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial refrigeration or cold chain engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems, HVAC/mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience managing multi-site operations and technical teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, IIAR, energy efficiency and automation.
• Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, and capital project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of facility and operational systems.
• Provide advanced technical expertise for infrastructure, automation, controls, mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, EHS, and external vendors on improvements.
• Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and improve uptime and efficiency.
• Lead root-cause analysis for failures and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, documentation, and operating procedures.
