Job summary

D-Wave Quantum Inc. in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a Senior Application Developer to join the Government Business Solutions team. You will develop applications for government customers and run on D-Wave’s quantum hardware and Leap cloud services.

You will implement and optimize Python-based code, build custom solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver market-ready software that demonstrates real-world impact using quantum computing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience with Python.
• Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Networkx is a plus.
• Minimum BSc in Computer Science or related field; Masters/PhD a bonus.
• Strong knowledge of probability, statistics and math.
• Experience with Git or similar version control.
• Experience implementing complex algorithms.
• Experience building open-source applications for customers or market release.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and creativity.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with federal agencies.
• Must have or be able to obtain US Government Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms to solve complex problems and build applications on D-Wave systems and internal tools.
• Implement and optimize performance; own the codebase for commercial quantum applications in Python.
• Build custom applications to solve complex customer problems or for market release.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects delivering positive business value.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design customized solutions.
• Become an expert in LEAP cloud service and Ocean tools.
• Help solve real-world problems impacting customer success.
