Job summary

D-Wave Quantum Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Application Developer to deliver applications for government customers, building solutions on D-Wave’s quantum computer and LEAP cloud services.

You will own and optimize code in Python, collaborate with stakeholders, and help bring market-ready applications to market while leveraging Ocean tools and open-source software. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities and the potential to obtain a US government security clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development experience.
• Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and NetworkX is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms to solve complex problems while building applications on the D-Wave quantum computer and internal tools.
• Implement and optimize the performance/own the code base of commercial quantum applications, primarily in Python.
• Build out custom applications to solve complex problems for customers or for market release.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects to achieve positive business value for customers.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other team members to understand application requirements and design customized solutions.
• Become an expert on our professional services offerings such as LEAP and Ocean open-source tools.
