Job summary

D-Wave Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Developer to deliver applications for our Government Business Solutions team, focusing on software for quantum systems and customer projects.

You will work with internal teams and customers to build applications for market launch. You will collaborate across teams, optimize codebases, and contribute to open-source tools like Ocean, LEAP, and related services while solving real-world problems for commercial clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; Master’s/PhD a bonus.
• Strong knowledge of probability, statistics, and math.
• Experience implementing complex algorithms.
• Experience building open-source applications for customers or market release.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms to solve complex problems while building applications on D-Wave’s quantum computer and internal tools.
• Implement and optimize the performance of commercial quantum applications, primarily in Python.
• Build out custom applications to solve complex problems for customers or market release.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects to achieve positive business value for customers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and design solutions.
