Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist, Technical Architect (Quality) for ExamDeveloper. Remote within the United States, you will provide domain-level quality leadership, set testing standards, and guide automation across multiple Agile teams.

You will mentor senior QA engineers, define quality metrics, and ensure release confidence, while aligning with product and engineering leadership on strategy and tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in quality engineering, software testing, or test automation.
• 3+ years as a domain-level quality expert across distributed platforms.
• Proven influence on automation frameworks or quality standards.
• Deep experience with test automation strategy, tooling, and quality improvement.
• Experience with large product environments and multiple Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Set quality strategy and metrics across the domain.
• Partner with Product Architect and Engineering to shape automation and quality strategy.
• Drive improvements to make testing more automated, efficient, and reliable.
• Establish quality metrics informing release readiness and risk.
• Mentor senior quality engineers and build overall QA capability.
• Review QA artifacts for maintainability and alignment to standards.
• Represent quality in leadership discussions with stakeholders.
