Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation seeks a Senior Quality Engineering Automation Engineer to design and maintain scalable automated testing solutions for web apps, collaborating with developers, analysts, product owners, and DevOps to improve quality and speed delivery.

You will build reusable frameworks using Playwright and Selenium with Java, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and drive test-data strategies and best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• At least six years of experience in web application test automation using Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Hands-on Java programming experience for developing and maintaining automation frameworks and test scripts.
• Experience with Cucumber and behavior-driven development practices.
• Strong experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and maintain test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Experience analyzing automated test results, investigating failures, documenting defects, and supporting defect resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable web automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Selenium with Java.
• Implement functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing solutions across multiple applications and platforms.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Develop and execute test cases, analyze test results, document defects, and collaborate with development teams to support timely resolution.
• Establish test-data strategies, automation standards, reusable components, and quality engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
