Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior Quality Engineering Automation Engineer to design and maintain scalable automated testing solutions for web applications. The role collaborates with developers, business analysts, product owners, and DevOps teams to improve quality and speed of delivery.

Responsibilities include building reusable automation frameworks with Playwright/Selenium in Java, integrating tests into CI/CD, and driving best practices.

Qualifications

• At least six years of experience in web application test automation.
• Hands-on Java programming for automation frameworks and test scripts.
• Experience with Cucumber and behavior-driven development.
• Strong experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to design, execute, and maintain test cases from requirements.
• Experience analyzing automated test results and supporting defect resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable web automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Selenium with Java.
• Implement end-to-end testing solutions across multiple applications and platforms.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Develop and execute test cases, analyze results, and document defects for timely resolution.
• Establish test-data strategies, automation standards, and reusable components.
