Dimensional Fund Advisors is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join the Data Distribution team. You will design, develop, and test data services powering research, portfolio management, trading, and analytics.

You will build scalable data pipelines, collaborate with analysts and product owners, and help optimize data integration, storage, and delivery across the enterprise. Strong Python and SQL skills, plus experience with data tooling, are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, computer science, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of Python programming experience.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and web services.
• 4-5 years of SQL experience.
• Experience with SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience in high-performance, high-availability data applications.
• Experience with automated testing and ability to write unit-tested code.
• Strong understanding of cyber security risks and ability to design secure applications.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and waterfall methodologies with a software development and integration focus.
• Knowledge of IT operations for always-on services.

Responsabilidades

• Build and deliver investment data technology solutions for Research, Portfolio Management, Trading, Analytics and Reporting functions.
• Design, develop, test, and deliver data technology solutions balancing speed and quality.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and project managers to develop user stories and plans.
• Advise business clients and IT management on technology capabilities and strategies.
• Identify and implement changes to data pipelines across ingestion, validation, quality, integration, storage and delivery.
• Write tests, contribute to engineering wiki, and document details.
• Build scalable data-transfer toolsets to move datasets between endpoints within SLA.
• Focus on data consistency, refresh rates, and caching across interfaces.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and participate in code/design reviews.
• Provide production troubleshooting and support.
