Job summary

3Pillar Global, Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to lead and architect Python services on AWS, including scalable PostgreSQL schemas and Kubernetes-based infrastructure for healthcare-focused platforms.

You will design secure APIs, guide cloud-to-cloud integrations, and mentor engineers in a remote-first, globally distributed team. Strong technical leadership and healthcare domain familiarity are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Design and implement scalable Python backend services and APIs.
• Architect PostgreSQL databases with optimized schemas and queries.
• Leverage AWS services (Kubernetes, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS).
• Mentor engineers and enforce engineering standards across the team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication with client stakeholders on status and technical recommendations.
• Lead design and development of Python backend services and APIs on AWS.
• Architect and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for clinical-grade data.
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure including Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda, API Gateway.
• Define backend coding standards, API patterns, security best practices, and testing strategies.
• Mentor backend engineers and drive engineering excellence across the team.
• Engage in agile processes: stand-ups, sprint planning, retros, estimation.
• Drive project delivery from concept to deployment with autonomy.
