Job summary

Decca Consulting LLC is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead design and implementation of high-scale, serverless backend services on AWS using Python, SQL/NoSQL databases, and modern architectures. You will own end-to-end delivery—from design through deployment, monitoring, and improvements—while ensuring HIPAA-aligned security and reliability for healthcare workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years backend experience shipping production-grade systems.
• Expert AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, Kafka/SQS).
• Strong Python with TDD, modular design and clean code.

Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale serverless backend systems on AWS.
• Develop and maintain secure, reliable data flows and APIs.
• Own end-to-end delivery including deployment, monitoring and improvements.
• Collaborate with SecOps, DevOps, analytics and product teams.
