Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist to support our Animal Nutrition team in a remote role across the United States. You will purchase commodities and ingredients for our feed manufacturing facilities, coordinating with plant managers and CHS Hedging to optimize costs.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in procurement, strong communication skills, and experience with ERP systems. This position supports facilities nationwide; relocation is not required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing and commodity trading/merchandising.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Animal Science/Nutrition, Ag Business, Ag economics, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Experience with ERP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and select sources of supply and vendors based on data.
• Negotiate prices, terms and delivery of feed ingredients to keep orders on time.
• Create purchase orders and contracts when applicable.
• Place orders with vendors and complete purchase orders in the ERP.
