The role requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high voltage substation projects, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
• Manage the project lifecycle from conception to commissioning, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Perform calculations such as relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit to optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to meet project requirements.
• Utilize SCADA systems for monitoring and control of substations.
• Support construction and commissioning activities, resolving technical issues.
• Stay updated with industry standards, trends, and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited).
• At least 5 years of experience in substation project engineering or similar roles.
• Proficiency with SCADA systems and high-voltage substation design.
• Experience managing the full project lifecycle.
• Strong skills in relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, capable of working independently.
