We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substation Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is remote, allowing you to work from home while making a significant impact in engineering. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing substation projects from 15 kV to 500 kV, managing project lifecycle, performing detailed calculations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high voltage substation projects from 15 kV to 500 kV, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
• Manage project lifecycle from initial concept to final commissioning, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Perform calculations such as relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit to ensure system performance.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Utilize SCADA systems to monitor and control substation operations.
• Support construction and commissioning, resolving issues as needed.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in SCADA systems and high voltage substation design.
• Experience with project lifecycle management.
• Strong calculation skills: relay burden, voltage drop, short circuit.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently.
