Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Production Engineer for a remote-first role supporting oil and gas operations with assets in the Free State. You will optimize production, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and use advanced analytics to diagnose issues and improve recovery.

You will work autonomously with distributed teams, plan interventions, review artificial lift options, and analyze production data to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in production engineering within Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of artificial lift systems and production optimization techniques.
• Proficiency with production data analysis software and tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor well/field production, diagnose decline trends, and identify issues.
• Develop and implement production optimization strategies and artificial lift.
• Plan well interventions and workovers to improve productivity.
• Provide recommendations for lift system selection, design, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with reservoir/geology/facility engineers on integrated plans.
• Analyze production data to发现 efficiency gains and cost reductions.
