Job summary

GM Energy is seeking a Software Product Manager for Residential Energy to define and drive the software portfolio for grid services and home energy solutions. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate external requirements into scalable software and ensure successful delivery across the product lifecycle.

You will engage in market analysis, design thinking, and go-to-market collaboration while aligning with GM Energy's objectives and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in product management or related field.
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Agile product development.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Customer-first mindset and strong product judgment.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for software products within the utility and energy markets.
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs and trends.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and business teams using Agile and Waterfall methodologies to translate requirements into specifications and user stories.
• Lead the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch and optimization.
• Develop understanding of regulatory frameworks, utility operations, and energy market dynamics.
