Job summary

Humana’s Digital Health Platform seeks a Senior Product Engineer, Accessibility to own accessibility products across Humana’s teams. You will lead automated accessibility testing, linter-like rules, dashboards, and AI agent skills, driving conformance and measurable improvements across web and mobile experiences.

You will collaborate with product engineers, legal, and QA to maintain the Digital Accessibility Program, roll out tools, and mentor teams in accessible design and testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 5+ years designing, developing, and testing software with 3+ years in digital accessibility and screen reader testing.
• 2+ years building or rolling out accessibility capabilities across teams.
• 2+ years building automated accessibility tests in JavaScript/TypeScript with Playwright or similar tools in CI/CD.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, ADA, Section 504, and Section 508.
• Owning a product’s roadmap and tying work to measured results.
• Building AI agent skills, prompts, or MCP integrations.
• Running third-party accessibility audits and producing Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR).
• Reviewing VPATs or ACRs during software procurement.
• IAAP certification (CPACC, WAS, or CPWA).

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for accessibility products, propose roadmap items, and write user stories.
• Build and maintain automated accessibility tests, scan rules, CI integrations, and AI agent skills.
• Roll out and integrate commercial accessibility testing tools for fast adoption by product teams.
• Measure adoption and outcomes; report on accessibility checks and critical findings in roadmaps.
• Enable teams by embedding accessibility checks into editors, pipelines, and workflows.
• Test web and mobile experiences with assistive technologies and keyboard navigation.
• Coordinate audits, maintain the Digital Accessibility Policy, and support vendor management.
