Job summary

Humana Inc. in the United States is seeking a senior accessibility lead who will define product direction for accessibility tools, write user stories, and guide roadmap decisions.

You will build automated accessibility tests, integrate scanning rules into CI, and develop AI agent skills, while partnering with product teams to adopt these capabilities. The role requires deep knowledge of WCAG, ADA, and experience testing with NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack, with travel for audits and vendor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 5+ years designing, developing, and testing software, including 3+ years in digital accessibility and testing with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
• 2+ years building or rolling out accessibility capabilities adopted by other teams in pipelines.
• 2+ years building automated accessibility tests in JavaScript or TypeScript with Playwright or similar tools, and running them in CI/CD.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, ADA, Section 504, and Section 508.

Responsibilities

• Set product direction for accessibility products, write stories and roadmap proposals.
• Build accessibility products: automated tests, scan rules, CI integrations, AI agent skills, and prototypes.
• Own the toolchain: roll out and integrate testing tools for easy adoption by product teams.
• Measure adoption and outcomes in pipelines and inform roadmap decisions.
• Enable product teams: provide remediation guidance, training, and developer checklists.
• Test with assistive technology: screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, and voice control.
• Run the program: maintain policy, coordinate audits, and provide evidence for compliance reviews.
• Review vendor VPATs/ACRs during software procurement.
