Corning, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver innovative designs for plastic injection molded and sheet metal parts, supporting new product introductions.

You will provide 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, collaborate with CAD design, prototyping labs, and testing teams, and guide projects from concept to release. Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and 4–7 years of experience in product development, with proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks or NX and

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Major in Mechanical preferred.
• 4-7 years of Industry Related Experience (Product, Design, New Product Introduction).
• Experience designing injection molded and/or sheet metal parts highly desirable.
• Design of experiments experience is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Conceptualize innovative mechanical design solutions for new product development.
• Create mechanical designs of plastic injection molded and sheet metal components to meet functional requirements.
• Provide high-level and detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for customers, analysis, patents, reports, and cost/manufacturability analysis.
• Lead cross-functional technical teams and mentor junior engineers.
