Job summary

BearCat Manufacturing urgently seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and new product development for assigned product lines. You will create detailed 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative, market-driven solutions.

You have 5+ years in manufacturing with strong mechanical design and SolidWorks expertise; you will drive manufacturability, cost reduction, testing, and production support across roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing with strong mechanical design.
• Proficient SolidWorks experience including parametric modeling, drawings, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple product development projects from concept through production.
• Design and improve products using SolidWorks; create 3D models and drawings.
• Develop and maintain BOMs, manufacturing docs, and specs.
• Generate preliminary cost estimates and support cost reduction efforts.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve issues and improve manufacturability.
• Review design changes and mentor other engineers and designers.
