Job summary

Veolia UK is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide technical leadership across water, wastewater, and bioresources projects. You will lead process design from concept through detailed design, collaborating with business development to craft innovative, commercially viable solutions.

The role requires guiding engineers and designers, planning multi-project workstreams, and traveling across the UK for site investigations and design reviews, while contributing to Veolia's sustainability

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant technical subject (e.g., Chemical Engineering).
• Experience in the process design of water and wastewater plants (conceptual through FEED and detailed design).
• Experience developing technical solutions for commercial bids and understanding design economics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process engineers, graduates, and designers; lead process design discipline in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Plan workload across project lifecycles, managing multiple complex projects (£20k to £50m+) with deadlines while delivering design leadership.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and draft compelling proposals and reports for reviews and client meetings.
• Establish and own technical relationships with customers during bidding phases and coordinate with internal teams and external clients.
• Lead workshops, negotiations, and representation at industry events to enhance Veolia's technical reputation.
• Embed sustainability into process designs, optimizing energy, chemical usage, and resource recovery.
