Job summary

Covia is seeking a remotely based Senior Process Engineer to join the Engineering & Operations Teams. You will provide mineral processing design, analysis and engineering services to Operations and perform optimization studies to reduce cost, improve yield and quality.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in engineering, a degree in engineering and experience in mineral processing or heavy industry, with travel up to 50% for project work and start-up activities.

Qualifications

• S. or equivalent degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in mineral processing or heavy industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support process design and estimates for projects.
• Develop sequences of operations for capital projects.
• Collaborate with controls and automation engineers on P&IDs.
• Lead startup and commissioning for major capital projects.
• Travel 40-50% as required to initiate, keep projects moving, and complete them in a timely fashion.
