Job summary

FormFactor Inc. in Livermore, CA, is seeking a Sr Principal Technical Support Engineer for probe cards. You will be the expert interface among customers, engineering, manufacturing, and field service to ensure optimal performance and rapid issue resolution.

The role emphasizes deep semiconductor test knowledge, hands-on mechanical skills, and occasional on-site support; Mandarin or Korean language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly and electrical debug experience.
• Experience with field applications or customer-facing roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for FormFactor probe card products.
• Perform root cause analysis and interpret wafer sort data to identify probe-related issues.
• Collaborate with Product engineering, Manufacturing, and Field service to drive CAPA.
• Deliver training on probe card operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Create technical reports, dashboards, and failure summaries.
