Job summary
CHA Consulting, Inc. seeks a Sr. Principal Engineer VII to lead technical guidance within the Power Delivery & Integration Team. This remote, part-time role influences electric distribution, transmission, and substations, driving grid modernization to ensure safe, reliable energy delivery.
The ideal candidate holds a PE license, 20+ years in power delivery or energy infrastructure, and excels at mentoring teams and delivering defensible engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical engineering; Master''s preferred.
- PE license required; 20+ years of progressive engineering experience in power delivery/energy infrastructure.
- Expertise in electric distribution, transmission, substations, or grid modernization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior technical authority across complex power delivery and grid infrastructure projects.
- Advise project teams on advanced engineering challenges in distribution, transmission, substations, and modernization.
- Provide expert consultation on technical issues to help teams develop defensible solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and leaders to plan and deliver high-profile assignments.
- Mentor engineering staff through peer reviews and QA/QC oversight to strengthen capabilities.
- Represent CHA through professional organizations and technical presentations as needed.
