Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related discipline.
• Ten+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven expertise designing distributed, high-scale systems in production.
• Advanced proficiency in backend languages such as Java, Go or C++.
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-level architectural standards and guardrails.
• Lead design of scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems at global scale.
• Architect multi-region platforms with availability, durability and DR focus.
• Drive modernization: microservices, platform consolidation and legacy decommissioning.
• Define API governance, data architecture and service communication patterns.
• Design observability, monitoring, and resilience strategies enterprise-wide.
• Define DevOps, CI/CD, and automation strategy across teams.
• Mentor staff and senior engineers and influence engineering culture.
• Partner with leadership on technology roadmap decisions.
• Lead resolution of critical production issues requiring architectural insight.
