Job summary

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing Team in multiple offices across California and beyond. The role reports to the Senior Pricing Manager and collaborates with partners and firm management to optimize profitability.

The ideal candidate will create budgets and financial models, develop fee structures for proposals, support data collection priorities, and train attorneys on pricing tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of pricing analysis experience with a law firm.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in finance, cost and pricing.
• Understanding of accounting and business principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop models to evaluate the financial impact of alternative fee structures and other rate/fee agreements.
• Collaborate with lawyers, practice management colleagues, and the marketing department to respond to RFPs and pricing proposals.
• Enter budgets and fee arrangement data into online matter management tools and provide status reports.
• Manage the data-mining process for matters, including fee arrangements and cost drivers.
• Ensure client financial arrangements are correctly documented in the pricing database.
