Job summary
Leidos is seeking aSenior Power System Engineer for Renewable & Data Center Integration, focusing on large load interconnections and renewable projects with ERCOT exposure. You will model with PSSE/PSCAD, perform data center and PV/wind integration analyses, and support plant controller coordination.
Remote position with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, NERC/FERC/ISO requirements, and DER coordination across utilities and developers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).
- 8+ years of relevant experience in power systems planning and interconnection.
- Experience with PSSE dynamic modeling, PSCAD EMT modeling, and ETAP studies.
- Knowledge of ERCOT transmission planning and interconnection requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support large load and generation interconnection studies in ERCOT and other transmission systems.
- Apply and interpret NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO, TSP requirements for generation and large load interconnections.
- Develop and validate steady state models in ETAP and PSSE, and dynamic models in PSSE and PSCAD.
- Coordinate PPC/MPC control strategies and support HV/MV substation design studies for large data center projects.
