Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead advanced analysis, design, and optimization of power systems for major infrastructure projects, enabling grid integration and reliability from anywhere.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems specialization.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in power system analysis and design.
- Proficiency with PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD.
- Knowledge of grid codes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with renewable energy integration is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and remote communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed power system studies (load flow, short circuit, transient stability, protection coordination).
- Design and develop specs for generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Evaluate new technologies to improve performance and reliability.
- Develop and review protection schemes and settings.
- Collaborate with clients and project teams remotely; mentor junior engineers.
