Job summary

Ladders client seeks a Sr. Technical Solutions Engineer for the Energy & Utilities sector to lead technical evaluation and solution development for utility-scale energy storage and power-system applications.

Remote role for US-based candidates, with compensation of $110,000–$140,000 annually. You will collaborate with R&D, engineering, and external stakeholders, develop internal tools, and ensure alignment with grid codes and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required; a postgraduate degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering, R&D, or project commissioning experience in power electronics or energy storage.
• Direct inverter product development or energy storage commissioning experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, power electronics, inverters and medium-voltage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical due diligence on power-system products to ensure performance and compliance.
• Develop internal tools for system sizing and product design to support projects.
• Collaborate with R&D on design development and validation testing for internal products.
• Lead evaluations of technical specifications for externally sourced products for compatibility.
• Prepare documentation for Independent Engineer reviews and customer-led due diligence.
• Monitor evolving product standards and grid codes relevant to energy storage solutions.
• Participate in integration testing to ensure safe and reliable system operation.

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Technical Solutions Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space.

This role will focus on technical evaluation and solution development for utility-scale energy storage and power-system applications. You will partner closely with R&D, engineering, and external stakeholders to support product validation, system integration, and due diligence efforts. The position also plays an important role in developing internal engineering tools and maintaining alignment with evolving grid codes and industry standards.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $140,000 annually

• Demonstrated ability to develop internal engineering tools and system models
