Job summary

Silicon Ranch is seeking a Senior Power Conversion Engineer to own the performance of inverter and BESS systems across our fleet. You will bridge field execution, engineering analysis, and vendor engagement to drive reliability and grid-compliant operation.

You will lead technical escalation, partner with OEMs, and shape lifecycle strategies including spare parts, repowering analyses, and controls validation for future projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, electrical preferred.
• 7+ years experience with power conversion systems (inverters/BESS).
• Experience troubleshooting inverter and BESS systems.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Utility-scale solar/storage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet inverter and BESS performance and availability.
• Lead resolution of major failures and defects.
• Track performance metrics to identify risks.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for inverter, BESS, and AC issues.
• Interface with OEMs and service providers.
• Support lifecycle planning, spare parts, and repowering analyses.
• Review firmware and controls for grid compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve fleet performance.
