Job summary

Faith Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer for Power Control and Automation (PC&A). The role will lead complex PC&A projects, define control narratives, and design IEC 61850 architectures while mentoring cross-functional teams.

You will develop configuration for energy management systems and protective relays, and create commissioning scripts and client-ready documentation to support large-scale power distribution and microgrid solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience per hiring manager discretion.
10+ years of work experience.
Masters and/or additional technical certifications a plus.
Travel: 10-15%
Work Schedule: 7 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday; may require after-hours work to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

Leads technical scope of complex PC&A projects with a team of engineers and technicians.
Provides SME level analysis for applying PC&A solutions for clients.
Defines sequences of operation and creates detailed control narratives for power distribution and microgrid projects.
Designs IEC 61850 network architecture and system specifications.
Develops configuration and programming for energy management systems and protective relays.
Creates commissioning scripts and project documentation; communicates with senior management and clients.
