Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, seeks a Principal Control Systems Engineer to lead turbine control projects and deliver robust power plant control systems. The role emphasizes engineering leadership, design, and hands-on programming across DCS/PLC platforms.

This senior-level, part-time position offers flexible work options (remote/hybrid/in‑office) with ~15–30% travel support for client engagements and project execution in the power generation sector.

Qualifications

10–20+ years of experience in controls, electrical, and instrumentation.
Subject‑matter expertise in steam turbine controls, gas turbine controls, and/or balance‑of‑plant systems.
Strong knowledge of DCS and/or PLC systems, including programming and implementation.
Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork through effective communication with peers, management, and clients.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15–30% locally and domestically.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and coordinate the technical execution of complex power generation projects, focusing on power plant control systems.
Design and program hardware and software solutions for power plants, covering instrumentation, control, and electrical systems.
Define technical scopes, estimate schedules, and plan resources for proposals.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors through Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Project Closeout Meetings.
