Job summary

Specialist Staffing Group seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead utility-scale wind construction across the United States. You will direct all phases from pre-construction to COD, coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, and startup teams.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in renewable energy project management, experience with $100M+ projects, and strong EPC oversight. Travel to sites will be required; PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience in renewable energy, power generation, or heavy industrial construction.
• Direct experience managing utility-scale wind farm construction projects valued at $100M+.
• Experience overseeing EPC contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of wind turbine installation, civil foundations, substations, and interconnections.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent scheduling software.
• Willingness to travel extensively to active project sites.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall execution of utility-scale wind farm construction projects from Notice to Proceed through COD.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Oversee EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and reporting metrics.
• Monitor project costs, approve expenditures, and manage change orders.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, permitting, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all HSE standards.
• Manage project closeout, commissioning, turnover documentation, and lessons learned.
