Job summary

Progressive is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead utility-scale wind construction across the United States. You will manage all phases from pre-construction through COD, coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to meet schedule and budget targets.

The role requires 10+ years in renewable energy or heavy industrial construction, with proven experience on wind farm projects valued at $100M+.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in renewable energy or heavy industrial construction.
• Mandatory experience managing utility-scale wind farm construction projects.
• Experience overseeing projects valued at $100M+.
• Knowledge of wind turbine installation, civil foundations, substations, and interconnections.
• Experience with EPC or managing EPC contractors and large cross-functional teams.
• Strong project controls, budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Willingness to travel extensively to active project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of utility-scale wind farm construction projects from NTP through COD.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Oversee EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and reporting metrics.
• Monitor project costs, approve expenditures, and manage change orders.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, permitting, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all HSE standards.
• Manage project closeout, commissioning, turnover documentation, and lessons learned.
