Job summary

Veeva Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own the analytics infrastructure for the NitroAI team. You will manage an AWS and Kubernetes platform with high autonomy, balancing performance, cost, and reliability while prioritizing compliance from day one.

You will lead GitOps deployments, design and maintain GitLab pipelines, and own incident response and platform observability to support business consulting analytics needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands‑on platform engineering with automation and distributed systems
• AWS & Kubernetes (EKS) production workload management with RBAC/IRSA
• Expert‑level GitLab CI/CD with shell/Docker runners and deployment orchestration
• ArgoCD/GitOps production experience across environments
• Terraform as the IaC tool for cloud infrastructure
• AWS services including Lambda, ALB, WAF, CloudFront, Cognito, Secrets Manager, Route53, KMS
• Security baselines and compliant infrastructure design

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the AWS and Kubernetes platform: reliability, cost, and performance
• Lead GitOps deployments: policies, ordering, configuration management
• Own CI/CD end‑to‑end: design and maintain GitLab pipelines across local dev, stage, prod
• Own incident response for the platform: diagnose failures and post‑mortems
• Establish platform observability for analytics: monitoring, alerts, log visibility
• Maintain security baselines, access controls, and secrets management
