Job summary

Mondo is seeking a Sr. Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate core IT platforms with a focus on observability, DevOps, ITSM, and seamless integrations.

You will own critical technology roadmaps and drive reliability in a remote-first environment. The role requires deep experience in Kubernetes, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and GitOps, with senior Python automation and extensive IaC work using Terraform and Ansible.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on platform engineering in a production environment.
• 4 years developing and configuring LGTM stack (Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo) and Prometheus.
• 5 years of senior-level Python scripting and automation.
• 5 years of GitOps and CI/CD using GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible.
• 5 years of Linux administration and infrastructure management.
• 2 years of AIOps or observability engineering experience.
• Experience supporting observability across 1,000–2,000 devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage automated, self-healing platforms with AI capabilities.
• Build and manage observability backend stack (Grafana Enterprise, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Alertmanager) on Kubernetes via Helm and GitLab CI/CD.
• Author and maintain infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, Ansible AWX, ArgoCD, and Helm.
• Develop OpenTelemetry Prometheus scrape profiles across device classes.
• Build AIOps capabilities to reduce alert noise.
• Integrate Alertmanager with ITSM tooling and escalation policies.
• Mentor mid-level engineers, lead code reviews, set standards, and represent team in reviews.
