Jobgether is seeking a Sr Planning Engineer based in the United States for a fully remote role that supports strategic planning of telecommunications network infrastructure. Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and typically six or more years of relevant professional experience, or a master's degree and four or more years of experience.
• At least four years of telecommunications inside plant and outside plant experience, including ISP/OSP equipment and infrastructure planning.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet objectives, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills across teams with different priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, accountability and vision setting.
• Strong analytical/economic evaluation skills for costs, capacity, and investments.
• Experience using geospatial/design tools (ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, Google Earth).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Lean or Six Sigma, PMI certification, or related project management experience (preferred).
• Experience shaping business/process improvements with financial impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans for new outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) construction and modifications.
• Monitor network capacity trends and identify constraints and improvements.
• Ensure capacity needs meet quality, efficiency, and reliability standards.
• Develop territory-level network strategies for 3–5 year horizon.
• Collaborate with transport, core, field ops, and architecture teams.
• Gather field data and prepare engineering plans, designs, and specs.
• Provide cost estimates and support capital budgeting activities.
• Monitor expenditures and maintain financial accountability.
• Oversee installation, construction, and testing to meet specs.
• Stay informed on industry developments and customer needs.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and sound technical judgment.
