Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to lead performance testing across large-scale healthcare technology programs. This remote role collaborates with Development, DevOps, Cloud, and Business teams to identify bottlenecks, validate improvements, and integrate performance validation into CI/CD pipelines.

The candidate will design load and capacity tests, create workload models from production data, and mentor engineers while communicating risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• - 5+ years of performance testing for large-scale web/mobile apps, with 2+ years in a lead role.
• - Strong experience with REST/GraphQL/SOAP, HTTP/S, WebSockets, and microservices.
• - Proficiency deploying JMeter in cloud containerized environments (Kubernetes on AWS).
• - Ability to design workload models and produce performance reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance testing activities including planning, workload modeling, test design, scripting, execution, analysis, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Partner with stakeholders to define NFRs and SLAs, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Design and execute load, stress, and capacity tests and develop realistic workload models.
• Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks and CI/CD integrations.
• Mentor team members and provide guidance on performance engineering practices.
