Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to lead performance testing across large-scale healthcare technology programs. You will define test strategies, develop testing frameworks, create workload models, and evaluate scalability and capacity.

This remote role requires collaboration with DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Business teams to pinpoint bottlenecks and validate improvements. You will establish performance standards, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, mentor colleagues, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of performance testing/engineering for large-scale applications.
2+ years in a technical lead role.
Strong experience with REST/GraphQL/SOAP, HTTP/S, WebSockets.
Proficiency deploying and managing JMeter in cloud container environments (Kubernetes on AWS).
Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Lead performance testing across large-scale programs and define test strategies.
Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks and workload models.
Analyze metrics and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
Design load, stress, and capacity testing scenarios and report results.
Mentor other engineers in performance engineering practices.
Present findings to stakeholders and drive action.
