Job summary

AgileEngine, a leading software-engineering partner, seeks a Senior Performance Engineer to own enterprise-wide performance engineering as a shared service across web, mobile, kiosk, and payments ecosystems. You will design and execute load, stress, and endurance tests with JMeter or k6, integrate validation into Azure DevOps CI/CD, and collaborate with SRE/DevOps on chaos experiments.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in performance engineering at enterprise scale.
Hands-on with performance testing tools including JMeter, k6, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, or OctoPerf.
Experience with observability and cloud monitoring (e.g., Dynatrace).
CI/CD integration of automated performance validation (Azure DevOps).
Scripting in Java, JavaScript, or Python and cloud exposure (AWS/Azure).
Availability to work from office in Shelton, CT.

Responsibilities

Own the enterprise Performance Engineering charter as a horizontal shared service.
Design, script, execute, and report performance tests across high-volume flows.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
Embed automated performance validation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
Partner with SRE/DevOps to define reliability targets and run chaos experiments.
Define performance-readiness criteria and provide go/no-go release recommendations.
Integrate AI-assisted workflows into performance planning and triage.
