Job summary

Second Unit Games is seeking a Senior Game Engineer to work on client PC and console projects in a remote‑first U.S. setting. The role focuses on hands‑on engineering, post‑launch work, and making technical decisions across existing codebases and pipelines.

You will mentor engineers, review code, troubleshoot builds, and help implement features for DLC, live events, and post‑launch updates while collaborating with client teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Shipped a major PC or console game
• Experience delivering live or post‑launch content
• Strong hands‑on game engineering experience and production‑quality code
• Experience working in a large, established game codebase
• Experience diagnosing technical and production problems
• Understanding of game‑development pipelines, source control, build systems, and workflows
• Ability to estimate engineering work and communicate issues clearly
• Ability to work directly with client engineers and leadership

Responsibilities

• Make day‑to‑day technical decisions and review code
• Mentor engineers and help estimate and plan work
• Troubleshoot builds and Perforce issues
• Implement features across client codebases and pipelines
• Build DLCs, expansions, and live events
• Work with Unreal, Unity, or proprietary engines
• Improve tools and workflows for content teams
• Collaborate with client QA and release teams
