Alt is building real-time pricing and liquidity for a marketplace of high-value transactions. You will own money movement, provider orchestration, and payout rails, ensuring reliability across ACH, wires, and instant payments.

We seek a backend-focused engineer with 5+ years of experience in Python, Postgres, and AWS, who has shipped real-money movement systems and multi-provider integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend systems experience (Python, Postgres, AWS).
• Experience with real money movement: ACH origination/returns, RTP, FedNow, wires.

Responsibilities

• Own money movement and settlement rails, including ACH, RTP, wires, and card settlements.
• Design provider architecture and orchestration with multi-PSP integrations.
• Build and maintain payouts, collections, and instant/ batch payout flows.
• Manage risk on high-value flows: fraud, disputes, holds, and settlement windows.
