Warner Music Group is seeking a senior revenue accountant for the Recorded Music RTR team to own end-to-end revenue accounting and ASC 606 compliance. You will work across multiple revenue streams, partner with IT and label finance, and help optimize processes through automation.

The role requires extensive experience in high-volume revenue accounting, ERP systems (SAP/S4HANA), and strong Excel capabilities. This position offers remote work within the United States and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting, shared services, or Big 4 public accounting.
• 7+ years of high‑volume revenue accounting, billing assurance, or royalty accounting in music/digital entertainment.
• Active CPA license (or international equivalent) strongly preferred.
• ERP experience with SAP FI/CO, S/4HANA and automated balance sheet reconciliation tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (Power Query, dynamic arrays, VBA); experience with Shopify or DSP portals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical ASC 606 revenue recognition for all Recorded Music revenue streams.
• Architect and maintain recognition schedules, monthly flash revenue accruals, and deferred revenue tracking.
• Query, clean, and analyze revenue datasets across DSPs and reconcile to the general ledger.
• Bridge consumption metadata with GL activity to detect anomalies and ensure accurate royalties.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly close, high-volume journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
