Job summary

Uplinq is hiring a Senior Onboarding Accounting Specialist to be the first point of contact for new clients, guiding them through system setup, data cleanup, and account activation.

This high-touch, high-volume role rewards proactive communication, rapid issue resolution, and accountability for outcomes. You’ll work with small business owners and cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth, trusted onboarding experience from day one.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a client-facing accounting or onboarding role.
• 6+ years of daily QuickBooks use including Online setup and troubleshooting.
• Strong working knowledge of cash- and accrual-based accounting.
• Ability to manage 25+ active client relationships simultaneously.
• Warm, confident presence with clients and ability to build rapport.
• Comfortable discussing scope and pricing with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily client meetings to gather financial data and build trust.
• Set up and configure Uplinq and QuickBooks Online accounts.
• Compare proposals to client needs and flag gaps early.
• Manage high-volume onboarding timelines and deliverables.
• Troubleshoot setup and data issues with sound accounting judgment.
• Find workarounds to keep onboardings moving.
• Collaborate with Sales, Initialization, Accounting, and Tax teams.
