Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join our Data Center team. You will configure, install, and support global data center networks, bridging architectural designs with hands-on execution to ensure secure, reliable network services.

US citizenship is required. The role involves leading deployment, incident management, and collaboration with global teams, with a 24/7 support model and potential site visits to data centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in complex, mission-critical carrier or data center networks.
• Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS and data center fabrics such as EVPN/VXLAN.
• Strong TCP/IP fundamentals, security monitoring, and network incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, firewalls, switches) in data center environments.
• Manage incidents from outages to escalations and perform preventive maintenance and security checks.
• Collaborate with Network Architecture to implement designs and adhere to change control processes.
• Create and maintain detailed network configuration documentation for global teams.
• Possibly report to data center sites as needed in a 24/7 support model.
