Job summary

TEKsystems c/o Allegis Group seeks an expert Network Engineer for contract work in Richardson, TX. You will design and deploy core, distribution, and access layer networks, integrating with VMware NSX and meeting DISA RMF requirements.

The role demands CCNP with strong Cisco platform experience and a TS/SCI-eligible clearance. You will lead engineering efforts, document architectures, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with government program teams.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• CCNP is required; CCIE is a strong plus.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and ASR platforms.
• Familiarity with DISA STIG, NIST 800-53, RMF.
• Active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of networking components for rack and stack builds.
• Architect routing across multi-site environments using OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
• Configure Cisco switching with VLANs, STP, PortChannels, QoS.
• Integrate network with VMware NSX and virtualization teams.
• Create network documentation, data flows and baselines.
• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers.
• Support ATO processes with architecture docs.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across layers.
• Evaluate network technologies to meet government standards.
• Maintain topology diagrams and IPAM records.
